Tee's Survival Story

Before March of 2020, Tee & Marcy were your typical, fun loving, empty-nester couple, living their lives to the fullest. Then, in the blink of an eye, life as they knew it drastically changed. During March 2020, COVID-19 struck their household forcing them to endure the ultimate test of faith to not only sustain their marriage and finances but life itself!

Tee spent 46 days isolated, for the most part, from his beloved wife and family as Johns Hopkins Hospital’s worst COVID-19 case at that point in time. With 28 of those 46 days in a medically induced coma, it wasn’t looking good for Tee from a physical and medical standpoint.

Marcy assembled a group of friends and family (prayer warriors) near and far to successfully gather to pray continuously for Tee’s survival and recovery.  Prayer and faith worked and the rest is history because God is in control.

It’s been 3.5 years since Tee’s death defying experience. Tee has been completely healed and restored as a result of several months of intense rehabilitation, incredible medical care, tremendous healthcare providers, and loving support from his family and friends.

Tee became Johns Hopkins’ beloved Covid-19 survivor and success symbol for phenomenal patient care. He was invited to speak at the 2020 white coat ceremony for aspiring physicians, where he was given an honorary doctors white coat. Tee has affectionately added “Dr.” to his list of titles.

We are overjoyed to commemorate Tee’s 60th birthday, with a momentous celebration of life, love, and victory, with those who have loved and supported us on our journey.

We would be honored if you would join us for an evening of memorable festivities aboard the Catherine Marie Yacht.
